Multiple Medias Cover 100-million-yuan Case Represented by Zhenzhou

In August 2019, an industrial company in Jiangsu filed a lawsuit against a Zhoushan shipping enterprise, seeking outstanding payment in the amount of 106 million yuan. Zhenzhou attorneys Mr Shao Hanjun and Mr Jiang Shanjun represented the local shipping enterprise in the case.
The shipping enterprise countersued the other party, seeking damages in the amount of 92 million. In the suit both parties applied to freeze the other party’s bank deposit, the shipping enterprise in the amount of 120 million, and industrial company 95 million.
Online Mediation
Despite of multiple mediation attempts presided by judges of the Zhoushan Intermediate People’s Court, although both parties have certain willingness, little progress was made before the Spring Festival due to the insurmountable difference in the grievances.
After over ten rounds of negotiations, on March 4th, parties finally came to an overall agreement: the shipping enterprise would pay 57 million, and both party unfreeze other party’s bank deposits, and the industrial company would fix the faulty gantry cranes within 5 months. All 2.15 funds are successfully unfrozen by now.
The case was widely covered by news platforms of Zhoushan Justice Bureau, and Zhoushan Intermediate People’s Court.
