The deputy director of the Provincial People's Congress Liu Liwei led a research group to Zhoushan on July 20th,
the "Zhejiang embodiment <People's Republic of China Consumer
Protection Law" measures (Revised Draft) "to carry out legislative
research. director of Zhen Zhou Law Firm Shaohan Jun,as the
representative of Zhoushan Municipal People's Congress ,lawyer Shen Chen
Xiang as the consumer representative participated in the legislative
research symposium.
The Research group heard the report on the
Zhoushan municipal government to implement consumer protection work,
ask for advice and suggestions from relevant department, representatives
of People's Congress and business operators and consumer
representatives about the contents of the “measures revised draft".
At the meeting, Shaohan Jun lawyer brought up thirteen advices on the
“measures revised draft", which involved the
procedures of handling cases and returning prepaid cards (vouchers), the
review obligations of financial institutions, consumers and other
punitive damages claims and other advices. Lawyer Shen Chen Xiang,
specially brought up the advices on the damage, delays, compensation and
other aspects of business of express courier industry.
The
Research group endorse the above comments and noted that the revised
"Zhejiang embodiment <People's Republic of China Consumer Protection
Law" measures "was the key items of Provincial People's Congress in 2016
,the making of this law will further promote the protection of the
interests of consumers in our province.
